The Story of Cheyenne's Old West Holiday

In the heart of the West, where the buffalo roam, Santa discovered a second sweet home. He flew over Cheyenne one cold winter night, And was charmed by the twinkling and magical lights.

He was tired and cold and in need of a treat, So he landed his team in downtown... right on the street! He found a snug stable, both cozy and warm, A haven of peace from the cold winter storm.

He stopped into The Albany to grab a quick bite, But made friends rather quickly with the cowboys inside. "These people are joyful, so kind and sincere, I think we will stay and make a homestead right here.

"Now he returns to the plains year after year, To rest before Christmas with friends he holds dear. By hearths he finds cocoa and stories of old, Where the warmth of the season is richer than gold.

The spirit of Christmas shines brightest right here For Santa himself holds Cheyenne ever dear.  When the town's all aglow you'll hear him chuckle and say... “Merry Christmas to all — the Old West Holiday way!”
